FREE project's specific aims include:

  1. To examine the associations of LGBTQ  and all students’ individual characteristics and school experiences on stress, mental health, and school achievement outcomes;

  2. To determine how school policies and practices and community characteristics influence the school micro-system, which in turn influences the incidence of stressors among LGBTQ and all students;

  3. To cross-nationally compare the effects of risk and protective factors on stress and associated mental health and school achievement among LGBTQ and all students.
